The role of music, art and poetry in the peace process

The late Giancarlo Barbadoro, speaking of artists, said: “We are like adventurers, free thinkers who walk on the bones of time to bring civilization to this planet”.
Many revolutions began with art.
The peace process outlined by the Delphic Games is also a real revolution that goes in the direction of peace. That is why we intend to support this initiative as a worldwide vehicle to raise the profile of the arts and culture. The World Intellectual Forum Europe is playing an active role to support the Delphic Games and as Italy is the home of the Renaissance and the arts we want to give our support because it goes in the direction of ecospirituality.
The artists represent a sort of antibodies within the majority society, which rebel against the status quo and the logic based on unbridled productivity.
Music, art, poetry are an eternal language that artists have always used to communicate a message. If artists are individuals with a sensitivity linked to Nature, their message can be conveyed towards peace.
The pandemic has divided us, and without going into the merits of the strategies that States have used to solve the problem, a climate of fear has been created, where harmony and freedom have become secondary concepts. And not only has the problem not been resolved, but we do not see the end of it.
Perhaps this is the moment to use art to spread a liberating message of peace and harmony.
Today we can see how humanity is culturally divided between majority society and natural society. The latter is made up of those minority cultures that have maintained a relationship with Mother Earth and who live an experience that we define as ecospirituality, respecting the individual, Nature and all living beings.
The majority society is based instead on anthropocentrism and is expressed with pyramidal social structures in which there is no respect for the personal needs of the individual, nor for Nature and even less for its non-human inhabitants.
But artists have a great responsibility: that of having the opportunity to spread messages to a wide audience. This possibility can be used for an act of justice, a contribution to an uprising of consciences towards a peace process.
Art has always been used to spread liberating messages. Spiritual messages. We can mention the school of Pythagoras, where, among the various scientific subjects, music had a prominent place whose purpose was to arrive at the inner Silence.
We can mention the Kemò-vad, the art of the gesture of druidic shamanism which through movement allows you to reach higher states of consciousness.
We can mention Australian Aboriginal art, almost always an expression of spiritual and mythological messages related to Dreamtime.
With the intention of using music, art, poetry, I would like to point out an initiative of my organization Ecospirituality Foundation: it is the New Ecospiritual Renaissance www.ecospiritualrenaissance.eu a cultural and opinion movement that, even if born very recently, is growing and of which they are part artists, philosophers, intellectuals.
The New Ecospiritual Renaissance has many affinities with the Delphic Games and this is the reason why we intend to support them.
Ecospirituality is a natural philosophy that leads to re-evaluate the relationship of the individual with Nature, where all living creatures assume a value and dignity equivalent to that of man. The individual is therefore not seen as the undisputed ruler of the world he inhabits, but is be associated with all the manifestations of life and with the same planet, in a common planetary experience that is part of an ecosystem that orbits in space.
This is what we hope: that art, poetry, music prevail over conflict and can be an inspiration for a world of peace.

Sacred Land
The future dawns.
The ancient Gods have gone
To leave us a new time.
A new earth arises from the night.
A new harvest grows towards the sun.
Our memories become our present.
In the ancient signs we read
The path of our freedom…
